The Essdee Scraperboard Starter Set provides a complete introduction to scraperboards, suitable for both beginners and experienced artists. Each board is coated with smooth china clay and overprinted with dense black ink. Using a scraper tool removes the surface layer to reveal clean white lines beneath, enabling precise, high-contrast artwork.

Widely used by illustrators, the ultra-smooth surface supports exceptionally fine detail and controlled mark-making.
