About the Artist

Emma Roulette (website) left the Floridian swamps of her childhood to blossom on the shores of the Mediterranean. It's from Barcelona that she shapes her drawings with their ambivalent language, soft in line as in color, but disconcerting in perspective and staging. Each of her productions provokes an appreciable drawer effect, making the viewer look at the images twice rather than once. The clean lines and old-fashioned nuances offer the caress they need in these turbulent times. The compositions, always incisive, provoke the break that his exercise-hungry brain cries out for. Two self-published zines, The Day Dream Zine and This is what a feminist zine looks like, are also available to help fans appreciate this kind of bipolar production over the long term. Kiblind Atelier is an independent risograph print studio in Lyon, France, born from the illustration magazine Kiblind. Since 2017 it has printed bold, limited-colour posters with illustrators from around the world, using vegetable-based inks and certified paper.

Invented in Japan in the 1940s, risography is a stencil-based, layer-by-layer printing technology similar to screen printing, using direct tones, i.e. pure colors with a luminous, intense rendering.

The riso prints cold (low consumption), on uncoated paper (less processed), with vegetable oil-based inks and no solvents. Part of the machine is made from recycled materials, and all consumables are collected and recycled in partnership with the Conibi organization.

Kiblind's risographs are printed on MUNKEN Print White 150g uncoated paper, made from ECF pulp and FSC and PEFC certified.
