About the Artists

ZEBU's Lynn Lehmann and Dennis Gärtner don't bother with embellishments. Which is not to say that they say no to embellishments. But these must be as simple and percussive as possible, like the central elements of the painting. This is because the duo practice sport at a professional level: graphic boxing is their big business. Whether it's a series of carpets in collaboration with the Moroccan cooperative Tighlamin, or their frequent interventions on Berlin walls, their works are bound to jump out at the viewer and immediately deliver a pair of visual slaps in the face. This they do rather well, thanks to a panoply of imposing shapes and piquant colors that they combine to take the viewer by the scruff of the neck. A jab and you're out.

Kiblind Atelier is an independent risograph print studio in Lyon, France, born from the illustration magazine Kiblind. Since 2017 it has printed bold, limited-colour posters with illustrators from around the world, using vegetable-based inks and certified paper.

When you buy a Kiblind print, you’re supporting an independent studio and the artists behind each design.

Invented in Japan in the 1940s, risography is a stencil-based, layer-by-layer printing technology similar to screen printing, using direct tones, i.e. pure colors with a luminous, intense rendering.

The riso prints cold (low consumption), on uncoated paper (less processed), with vegetable oil-based inks and no solvents. Part of the machine is made from recycled materials, and all consumables are collected and recycled in partnership with the Conibi organization.

Kiblind's risographs are printed on MUNKEN Print White 150g uncoated paper, made from ECF pulp and FSC and PEFC certified.

  • MUNKEN Print White is a premium, naturally white paper that combines the most attractive properties of wood and wood free papers. It offers optimised hand, strength, surface and printability for risography printing. Its puffy appearance ensures perfect absorption and luminous rendering of RISO's solvent-free, vegetable-oil-based direct-tone inks.
  • The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) is an international non-profit organisation that promotes the responsible management of the world's forests. FSC certification indicates that the product comes from environmentally friendly, socially beneficial and economically viable sources.
