Monisha Rajesh is an author and journalist who has worked for the likes of Time, Vanity Fair, The New York Times, and The Guardian. She was also a train travel columnist for The Sunday Telegraph. Her first book, Around India in 80 Trains (2012) was featured in The Independent’s top ten books on India. Her second book, Around the World in 80 Trains (2019) won the National Geographic Travel Book of The Year prize and was shortlisted for the Stanford Dolman Award.

The 031 For The People Book is a real eye-opener: With around 700 photos on over 500 pages, the book highlights the work of the 031 crew from Bern from 2010 to 2020.

As a global player, the writers travel far beyond the borders of Europe to Buenos Aires, Caracas, New York and Mexico City. And since pictures are worth a thousand words, the volume does without accompanying texts and concentrates on the essentials - which includes a bonus chapter with 32 pages from the early days of the crew from 2005 to 2009. Nice!

Get the Met: ‘How we Met’ Second Edition

An expanded and revised edition from the First.

Four Letter Press presents a sequel to the Australian design cult-classic publication, Get the Met, ‘How we Met’ Second Edition. Following on from the continued success of the first edition released in 2020, we gladly present to you a 300 page hardcover publication with four times the amount of content from the first edition. The chapters in the book include Early Periods of Melbourne Rail History, Brochures and Printed Material, train ticketing, the train models, railway branding and additional chapters such as staff uniforms and signage.

The book contains 100’s of exclusive images, some never seen by the public, now readily available for your viewing and book collection needs. Beginning the book off with classic black and white photographs of Flinders Street pre-electrification, textured film photos from ex-workshop staff member and private collector, Simon McArdle, a mix of film and crisp digital photos from a private collection of Chris McGregor and additional photographers noted from the previous edition.

The Second Edition has grown, now a generous 300mm x 300mm book size which is as big as a vinyl record cover! With a mind-blowing 300 page hardcover feature, this book is definitely going down in the ages.

The Second Edition aims to shed more light on the early periods of Melbourne rail, organisational and operational information about ‘The Met’ and revised details about the train model design descriptions. The author, Jourdan Sungkar, has spent 5 years since the first edition, researching Melbourne rail through hundreds of rail issued publications and reading material that has resulted in the culmination of this newly minted Second Edition, in what may be a life-long series of Melbourne rail history.

No book has covered such an extensive visual history of Melbourne rail. It will surely go up in price so think of it as an investment as well.

What Happens When a Machine and a Graffiti Writer Collaborate? This book explores that intriguing question, as Alone HM, Alsino Skowronnek, Theodor Guelat, and Team Flight Mode embark on a bold journey into uncharted creative territory.

The result is a series of extraordinary works shaped by the interplay of human artistry and artificial intelligence: some pieces partially painted by machines, others painted onto machines—merging neural networks with railway networks.Gradient Descent captures the spirit of innovation, experimentation, and transformation.

It bridges the gap between traditional graffiti aesthetics and the digital age, preserving core principles while sometimes breaking them entirely. This is a story of redefining boundaries and pushing the limits of what graffiti can be in a modern, tech-driven world.

MOSES & TAPS™ Nine years after their legendary book INTERNATIONAL TOPSPRAYER™, which is out of print long-since and traded for hundreds of euros by now, MOSES & TAPS™ release a brick twice as thick: GRAFFITI AVANTGARDE™ GRAFFITI AVANTGARDE™ is a heavyweight!

With 544 pages, more than 2000 photos in ten chapters as well as a variety of exciting and subtle texts, it gives a deep insight into MOSES & TAPS™ broad work as graffiti artist since 2011.

The book shows how they managed the balancing act between bombing trains and being accepted artists and explains why these two worlds are not mutually exclusive.

The monograph begins with an interview with MOSES & TAPS™ by the criminologist Ike, in which she explores the question of what actually constitutes the graffiti avant-garde, who it is, what goals it has and what it drives.

The TOPSPRAYER™ chapter, in which MOSES & TAPS™ lead us through various stops on trains from Russia to the USA, is followed by the SPLASH™ chapter, in which you learn on which places you can leave colorful traces with spray cans without using a fatcap and letters.

Afterwards the scepter is handed over to ALIAS™, whose professed 1001 trains in 999 days on 176 pages are rounded off by his stories and the action photos of Edward Nightingale.

In SCRATCHITI™ MOSES™ shows why he paints glass panes in order to clean them, how he brings them from the train yards to the museum and back again and we learn why he hates Mickey Mouse.

In the chapter CORPORATE IDENTITY™ Robert Kaltenhäuser then deciphers how all chapters can be connected via MOSES & TAPS™ CI codes, why yellow-blue works better than Banksy and what s behind the TM. In IMAGE OF GRAFFITI™ TAPS™ makes clear, why Graffiti must be illegal and reveals how one can create an image of it on canvases nevertheless.

While the chapter SCHÖPFERISCHE ZERSTÖRUNG™ („creative destruction“) deals with the complexity of MOSES & TAPS™’ works, which are expressed in collage pieces, the part KONZEPT-VANDALISMUS™ is dedicated to their unique conceptual works on trains – and sometimes also the walls inside.

To round the book off, MOSES & TAPS™ explain and illustrate in two separate chapters their very personal approach of developing their styles.
