Located in Erlangen, Germany, Bavaria's famous pencil-producing region, KUM is the world's premier manufacturer of handheld pencil sharpeners.
All sharpeners are equipped with ultra hard (65 hrc) and razor sharp high carbon steel blades.
These blades are harder than ball bearings or any high quality knife.
This is needed because pencil leads are made of a mixture of graphite and various types of clay, which are extremely hard. Each blade is razor-sharp.
A felt sharpening wheel (similar to leather) is used as the last step in the automatic sharpening process.
This classic double-hole brass wedge sharpener is solid, reliable and very heavy for it’s size.
With both 8mm & 11mm holes, it is suitable for both regular and jumbo pencils.
Replacement blades avaiable.
Made in Germany.
Its latex-free vinyl design is soft and pliable to prevent paper tears, making it ideal for delicate surfaces.
Plus, the sharp corners make it the perfect choice for erasing small sections at a time.
It’s so much more fun than a regular eraser!
Mould and shape it anyway you want to erase tiny specks or large areas.
Works wonders with your other Prismacolor art supplies to highlight and clean chalks, charcoal, pastels and coloured pencils.
You just knead the eraser to clean it, so you’ll get a ton of use out of it.
For extra long pencil tips. The AS2 is a single hole (8mm) sharpener that shapes the wood, then the lead. An automatic brake prevents over-shaping/sharpening. Includes 2 spare blades.
A classic through the ages, KUM have been creating a version of this globe pencil sharpener since the early 1900's.
For decades, the Globus Sharpener has been spinning with the world – a real classic that has constantly evolved. With each new edition, it reflects the geographical changes of our planet while remaining as reliable as ever. Suitable for 8 mm pencils.
Delightfully retro, the Globus 1010 desktop sharpener is a small metal globe hiding a pencil sharpener in its base. The base itself acts as a stand, allowing the Globus to sit proudly atop your desk.
The globe acts as a waste container for the pencil shavings and can be emptied by pulling the sharpening unit from the bottom of the globe.
A piece of contemporary history on your desk – functional, nostalgic and always up-to-date.

We love Shinwa's range of pick-up rulers for many reasons - let us count the ways!
They are really easy to read. Shinwa applies a proprietary hard chrome finish that leaves a beautiful matte surface. It does not reflect light harshly, making them easy under the eyes even when working under harsh directional light.
The makings are incredibly clear. These rulers feature full-millimetre increments only, and have no half-millimetre markings. We find it much easier and quicker to mark out with them, as we don't have to decipher our preferred measurement from a packed crowd of half-millimetre marks.
Picking them up is incredibly easy. The end of every ruler has a small notch that can either be pushed down on to lever the ruler off the bench, or got under with a fingernail to pick it up directly.
